CHEONG FATT TZE BLUE MANSION

Picture
After breakfast, headed straight to the famous Blue Mansion once owned by Choeng Fatt Tze.
Limited photographs cause photography prohibited inside the house.

At 11am, we had a guided tours inside the mansion. Conducted by Eric, a young chap with a strong British accent. The tours is highly recommended as it adds another dimension to just exploring the mansion. It was like we were taken to the time the merchant lived. Pretty detailed in historical facts. One glaring fact was CFT had no less than 8 wives. The 7th was his most favourite of all...her pictures were all over the mansion.

Manage to take this picture of the mansion lobby (before i realise photography prohibited)..lucky me.

CARNAVON DUCK RICE

Picture
After the tour (12.45pm), it was time for lunch. Went straight to Carnavon Duck Rice at junction btw Carnarvon St and Hong Kong St . It only open for Lunch (11 AM - 3 PM) Meaning by 3pm, all duck would be sold out. Why can't we have such good life (work 4 hours a day)?

We waited for a good 35mins for our duck. At one point, nearly thought they had forgotten our order....But it was worth the wait. As usual, the rule that all good food requires long wait.
